Medscription NYC also offers medical record reviews. Our skilled staff of nurses will review your claimant’s records and write summary reviews of the records. Fees can be hourly or per document depending upon your preference.

Susan Goris

Susan graduated from Medical Technology Education Center in 2004. She is a member of the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) and adheres to the AHDI rules and regulations for medical transcription. She offers 16 years of experience in transcription and began her career working for two national companies for a year and then formed MedScription LLC with a business partner. The business split into two divisions when Susan and her family relocated to New York City, and since that time she has operated MedScription NYC out of Brooklyn, New York.

Medscription NYC is a professional transcription service that offers quality reports at affordable rates. A HIPAA-compliant FTP site is available to upload your dictation or there is also a call-in system. We can handle all of your dictation needs as well as a variety of office and hospital work types. Our U.S. based transcriptionists have years of experience typing IME reports.

Medscription NYC also has experience with Independent Medical Evaluations and File Reviews and is familiar with the rules and regulations for Workers’ Compensation in California, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, and would be happy to learn those for your state as well.

Pricing

Our standard turnaround time is 24 hours. Rates run 13-14 cents per 65-character line, based off complexity of work needed.

“To describe MedScription as a life-changer would not be an exaggeration. I am a psychologist who does a fair amount of reports, many of which are legal or quasi-legal. Before MedScription I had a local typist, who balanced my reports with childcare and other responsibilities, so that I was never sure how quickly things would get typed. Not only does MedScription get most reports done well within 12 hours (and often much quicker), but is always responsive to specific requests for very speedy turnaround. Promptness and reliability are only part of what has made my life so much easier and less stressful. The typists pay attention and alert me to any misstatements (e.g., if I identify a child as 9 in one paragraph and as 10 much later), but also to anything that sounds confusing. I like to dictate a rough draft, edit it on paper (with many arrows and movement of paragraphs), then dictate the conclusions and do one more edit.
